Our Dive Schedule:
The Underwater Centre offers the best of facilities for diving around North Mahe with three fully equipped power catamarans which load directly from the beach in front of the dive centre. We offer boat diving trips morning and afternoon each day and, subject to weather conditions, one boat is dedicated to the longer range dive sites for experienced divers taking a maximum of 8 divers.

Morning dives are generally deeper dives, while afternoon dives tend to be shallower. Dive sites vary in depth from 8 to 30 metres and provide conditions for divers of all abilities. The inshore dives provide sheltered conditions on both granitic and coral reefs; although the coral structures were affected by the 1998 bleaching event the marine  and fish life are abundant, (see our Coral Bleaching report).

The offshore dive sites of the inner islands offer some of the very best diving in Seychelles and are suitable for more experienced divers as these sites tend to be deeper and may have current conditions. These conditions tend to attract  the larger marine life found around Seychelles with the chance for divers to encounter whale sharks and giant stingrays. 

Dive Courses:
For those who would like to learn to dive there are a number of diving courses available from one day scuba diving experiences right through to PADI's internationally recognised diving certifications. For already qualified divers we can provide the full range of PADI courses from Advanced Open Water right through to Instructor level. All learn to dive courses are available by arrangement 7 days a week.

Rental & Sales: 
The Underwater Centre is also able to provide a full range of equipment rental utilising the proven and reliable Sherwood line of diving equipment; we also have 3mm shorty wet-suits and a range of masks and fins to suit most shapes and sizes! On our retail line we have a range of diving and snorkeling equipment as well as a wide range of diving and special interest books and identification guides.

The Centre is also the focus for a number of marine conservation oriented activities that we are involved in including various coral programmes and the whale shark monitoring programme in association with the Marine Conservation Society, Seychelles.
